Location: Kansas City, KS
Completion Date: November 1st, 2011
The project involved the remodel and expansion of an existing 23,000 sqft grocery store and a vacant 8,500 sqft tenant space. The expansion scope included the demolition of an existing demising C.M.U. wall and lowering the existing vacant tenant space floor approximately 4′ to prep the space for a new produce, deli, bakery, and sales area.
The remodel included new flooring, storefront entry, painting, lighting, and equipment throughout the entire facility. New walk-in produce coolers and bakery coolers were added along with a new 200 square foot walk-in Bakery/Deli freezer. BCS coordinated all underground and overhead refrigeration lines and provided complete details for the insulated slab beneath the new freezer.
Construction lasted approximately 6 months and the store remained open to customers throughout the remodel and expansion. The project was completed under budget and on schedule.
